GAMESCOM ’22 RECAP

Gamma Minus attended gamescom 2022 from August 24-26th in Cologne, Germany. More than 250,000 visitors from all over the world marveled at the highlights of around 1,100 exhibitors from 53 different countries! By Saturday evening alone, over 130,000,000 views across the entire gamescom show program. 12,000,000 views at the Opening Night Live and more than 100,000 people at the gamescom City festival in Cologne!

Our participation was made possible by Mediennetzwerk.NRW as well as the Film und Medienstiftung NRW, from which we have received numerous support throughout the development journey.

GAMING AREA NRW

The NRW Indie Expo 2022 was funded by the Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and was a big part of the Gamescom Conference 2022 in the business area of the event.

30+ playable game projects were shown on-site, Rough Justice: ’84 being one of them!

Here are some impressions of the event:

With over 20 scheduled meetings, quite a number of impromptu ones, 5 interviews and 2 pitch events in front of investors and publishers, we couldn’t be happier!

The Gamescom business area is a great location to get noticed and rub shoulders with the crème de la crème of the industry…and get noticed and ofc, attend so many great panel discussions and talks. We’re looking forward to attending next year!

DEVCOM ’22 RECAP

Gamma Minus attended Devcom 2022 from August 22-26th in Cologne, Germany. Established in 2017, devcom is the official game developer event of Gamescom, the world’s largest computer and video games event, and Europe’s annual “must attend” developer’s conference. Originally started as a five-day umbrella framework for a series of events, devcom is now a full-year experience focused on game development, game publishing, networking, and community building.

Our participation was made possible by Mediennetzwerk.NRW as well as the Film und Medienstiftung NRW, from which we have received numerous support throughout the development journey.

All in all, over 60 people played our Beta!

NRW INDIE EXPO

The devcom NRW Indie Expo 2022 –was funded by the Premier of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia and was a big part of the devcom Developer Conference 2022. 30+ playable game projects were shown on-site, Rough Justice: ’84 being one of them! There was also a Let’s Play session with all participating games on the devcom Twitch channel during #ddc2022 from August 22 to August 26.

INDIE CUP UNREAL ENGING SPOTLIGHT AWARD

We are very excited to announce that Rough Justice: ’84 has won the Indie Cup Germany 22 Unreal Engine Spotlight Award! 

Indie Cup Germany’22 gathered 73 local independent games. You can browse all of them on the event’s website – with 30+ public demos available.

10% of all sponsorship proceeds from Germany’22 were donated to Come Back Alive and other organizations supporting Ukraine.

COLORS OF INDIE STEAM FEST

Recently Rough Justice: ’84 was nominated for the Colors of Indie Award. So many awesome and amazing games were part of the event, and we had a great time participating! The good folks at Mooneye Studios thought it would be a good idea to put together a Steam event celebrating not only the winners, but also the nominees, and we are happy to announce that we are part of the festival!

Mooneye Indies have launched their first “Colors of Indie” award this year, where indie studios can win $1000. To participate, developers had to upload a compelling pitch for an unpublished game on TikTok.

TINY TEAMS

We are pleased to announce that Rough Justice: ’84 has been selected to participate in the Yogcast Tiny Teams 2022 event! Tiny Teams is a week-long festival with livestreams, all day, everyday as they play through some great indie games! It also includes a steam sale for participating games. The event is a great opportunity for exposure not only for some indie giants as well as some smaller gems you may have not heard of before.
